Is FLUID FILM a good penetrating oil?

Having used all the familiar brands of lubricant and penetration oils, as well as a few other 'better than' products, Fluid Film has proven to me to be that 'better than' product.

Can you brush on FLUID FILM?

Yes. Apply Fluid Film to a clean dry rag, rubbing into metal surface as would be done with a polish or a wax. It will not leave fingerprints or negatively affect bluing.

Its also noce that it dries and does not attract dust/dirt. If you undercoat fairly heavily with fluid film and drive down a dusty road your whole underside is now covered in dirt/duts/fluid film paste. WIth the amsoil the dirt/dust does not adhere to it.

Does rain wash off FLUID FILM?

If you get under there and pressure wash it will remove it. I drive through plenty of rain and snow and have no issues. If you want something more permanent you will pay some big $$$$$ Fluid Film IMHO is the best there is. It is similar to a soft paste wax and it protects extremely well.


Can I spray FLUID FILM with a spray bottle?

It can but you will waste a lot of product. Fluid Film is very thick and does not get atomized well in generic spray guns.

Can you use a paint gun for FLUID FILM?

The most effective way to apply Fluid Film in its bulk form is with the use of the FFSG Fluid Film undercoating kit, or standard airless paint spraying equipment.

Does FLUID FILM harm tires?

Fluid Film does not have any harmful effects on oil resistant rubbers. As tires are composed of oil resistant rubbers, we cannot see it having this effect on your tires. We have had many people (ourselves included) use Fluid Film as a tire shine with no ill effects.

Can you use FLUID FILM on electrical connections?

FLUID FILM is non-conductive and can be used as a dielectric grease. It works very well on electrical connections.
